Explore the Future of Marine Data Applications at the Marine User Days 2024

On 5-6 November 2024, Lisbon will host the Marine User Days, a two-day event organised by the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) in collaboration with a wide range of partners, including Mercator Ocean International (MOi) and the Copernicus Marine Service (implemented by MOi on behalf of the European Commission). The event will explore the latest advancements in marine data applications, bringing together the ecosystem of marine data and existing and prospective users.

Marine User Days 2024: A Confluence of Marine Stakeholders

A key event for the marine user community, the Marine User Days offer both existing and prospective users the opportunity to participate in insightful discussions on marine data applications in the context of continuous technological advancements. The event is hosted by EUMETSAT with the support of the European Commission, the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF),  MOi and the Copernicus Marine Service

The event will focus on data across the value chain, encompassing satellite data, derived products and climate data records, demonstrating with use cases the practical applications of data in oceanography and marine contexts. The scope of the event will be broadened by the inclusion of Copernicus Contributing Missions (CCM) data from EUMETSAT’s meteorological missions and data from the satellite application facility specialising in Ocean and sea ice.

The Marine User Days 2024 agenda is set to feature a diverse array of sessions focused on topics such as fisheries, aquaculture, biodiversity, climate change, citizen engagement, human health, shipping and spatial planning. Attendees will be able to engage in networking activities and listen to presentations from the entrusted entities of Copernicus fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among marine industry professionals and stakeholders.

Keep in mind: registrations will close on 10 October 2024!
