The Blue Ocean describes the physical state of the ocean, such as sea surface temperature or sea surface height on top level .But also temperature, salinity and currents over the whole water column, or bottom temperature.
Values of ocean heat content, or density also fall under the blue ocean.
MOI GLO12
Daily-mean, hourly-mean and 6hourly-instantaneous analysis and forecast data [01/01/2007->D-14 to D+13] of the Global Ocean physics and sea ice parameters with a weekly update of the analysis and the forecast, providing : Temperature, Salinity, Sea Surface Height, Currents and Sea Ice thickness, fraction and velocities. Numerical files are displayed on a 1/12° native grid (~9.3km at the equator).

MOI GLORYS12
"A 25-year reanalysis [ 01/01/1993 - 31/12/2019 ] of the physical and sea ice parameters of the global ocean. There are daily and monthly averages over the whole water column and hourly averages for surface temperature and surface currents.
The numerical data are divided into different files that contain 3D information on potential temperature, salinity and currents and 2D information on sea surface level, potential bottom temperature, mixed layer thickness, sea ice thickness, sea ice fraction and sea ice velocities. These data are distributed on a native 1/12° grid (~9.3km at the equator)."
